No matter where you are in life everyone does need a little help on romance. I know I do. . . as someone getting back on the dating game after my divorce, this book helped keep me up to date on the modern how-to’s of dating. Knowing what the book presented gave me the confidence I didn’t have before if only for the fact that I don’t feel clumsy anymore. Each chapter tackled the different life-cycles of dating, so it is a complete guide for anyone really. The details on flirting and using pick-up lines were fun.

It’s good that this book points out dating as scary, because it really can be especially for the shy(inexperienced) guy who needs encouragement to approach women, talk to them, and ask them out (the scariest part of all). I enjoyed the info on flirting. . . how it reveals that, when done in a sophisticated way, it can truly be the shy guy’s secret weapon to attracting women. I also like the section on pick-up lines, how and when to use them appropriately (so you don’t get slapped in the face!) This is a fun, easy read. . .

This book is not titled The Dating Bible for nothing, for sure! All the basics and guidelines for dating are thoroughly dealt with, nothing has been left out. From getting the affirmation, preparing yourself for an impressive show-up, dating protocol, acceptable conversation, and dealing with concerns for each phase in life, like handling the first date and the first kiss when you’re new to the game, and dealing with the issue of the kids when you’re getting back into the game. Very complete.

It’s an excellent personal guide on how to date for each juncture in life, whether you’re just starting out or trying again. I enjoyed very much the chapters on the dating rules for single dads (and moms), and dating it’s been awhile. Kept me up to date with the times. Great book to read!

If you are new to dating and need the know-how to ask a girl out, first date ideas, handling yourself on the first date, handling first-time rejection, and getting a second date, then this book should help you out a lot. It did me.
