To meet someone you want to spend the rest of your life with takes time. I would recommend going out and doing what you like to do and take an evening class to discover an new skill or hobby. Also friends and family know you best so meeting people this way works also. The point is if you are happy on your own, meeting someone special will come along in time. I am facing the same situation after being married for many years and it is scary. I know I have to enjoy time on my own first before meeting someone and this can't be rushed. When online people are selective. Why not... They start of slow and play the field deciding on which person they feel would be the best match. Numerous email are sent back and forth to determine this. I would also lik to think they would be calling one another. So it is going to take a bit more time in general.
