I saw the author on Oprah and bought the book. It’s fun reading but very intelligent and common sense too. I highly recommend it. I disagree with the reader who thought it was a feel good book for women. I’m a man who got a lot of good advice and a few laughs from this book.

Dating stinks, but this book is fun. It doesn’t seem like the typical self-help shtick. The stories are funny and smart, and I laughed a lot reading it. I especially liked the chapter on Cyber-flirting because I’m starting to try that, and I had a lot of questions about it. Well, if you are trying to meet the right one, I think you might like this book, too.

I recommend the purchase of this book. Generally, I suggest that everyone be skeptical about books which profess to offer advice on dating since the singles market attracts vendors offering miracle cures and junk to needy people. I am pleased to say that Guerrilla Dating Tactics does not fall into that category. This book is packed with good advice on all of the basic issues and is applicable to anyone seeking a mate. The intended audience is men and women in general, so it does not deal with issues specific to certain genders at certain ages. The coverage of the material is thus at a medium depth. No magical revelations or miracle cures are offered, just good common sense. The value is that it reviews all of the issues so that you can think about them and consider your own strategies, tactics, and behavior. It is also a fun, upbeat, energizing read. It makes you want to get out there and experience the adventure of dating! I also recommend Richard Gosse’s book How to Find a Lasting Romantic Relationship. The two books complement each other nicely. For younger men (and anyone) I suggest Warren Farrell’s Why Men Are the Way They Are for an explanation about why persistence and assertiveness are crucial to your success (as well as valuable insight into male behavior). I also recommend Ayn Rand’s novel The Fountainhead.

This book spends much of it’s time pointing out the obvious. Which is: If you are a woman, just open up your eyes, stop rejecting most of the half-decent men you meet and you might actually find one you like. And for men, keep trying until you finally meet one of the women above.
