This is a "no brianer" apporch to starting a speed dating service. There is no substance what so ever in this book. It lacks all the industry standards you would expect on how to develop, run and promote a dating service. They have a section on finding venues that will tell you to find a local restraunt or bar and to make sure you can meet the owner, have enough seats and that it wont be to loud. With that info I would never find a venue. This book only taps the surface on how to set up and run this type of service. My point is you will buy this publication and by the time your done reading it, you will say "So how do I start and run a speed dating service?"

Overall, its a good read and you get some helpful information.

What this book lacks is the need for more information on the business part of speed dating, such as marketing, which is quite important.

For some people I may recomend you find this info either through research or actually going to a speed dating event. The book isn't really worth what it costs but then again, there isn't really anything similar to it on the market.

I liked that the book was a quick read. It gives you some nice tools that you may already have if you're already in the planning stages for your own business. But, if not, you can benefit from the information and tips. I could not find a couple of the forms they mentioned in the book, and that frustrated me when looking for them on the page they were said to be on. It's a smart tool that I believe is primarily intended to drive you to their business to sign on as host versus setting up your own business from scratch. I finished the book and viewing their website with a lot of questions still about starting a speed dating business. Some questions came to me as I read the book. The grammatical errors and misspellings in the book were annoying. But, for the cost of the book, it was a fair read.

I am in the process of starting up a dating events business similar to speed dating so this book was a good tool. It contained some good hints but I found that there really wasn't a lot of content (for instance - 2 pages for Marketing which I think is one of the most important pieces). It was a good starting point though and it confirmed for me that all the aspects I was looking at were indeed what was needed. I especially liked the Trade Secrets Chapter . . . that was helpful.
