only some of them. Some sites are based on sex while others are truly dating sites. You just have to look through them to pick the one that suits you best.
i bet they r once my sister went on a site like that all she found this guy and he showed of a pic of a 19 year old dude and he was really a 69 year old dude look for sex with teenagers
umm i tried them and i wasn’t looking for sex, i wouldn’t have turned it down, but i never got a date either, i would suspect that most guys would be just looking for sex though
It’s always possible. I think I saw something about the attempt to do that increasing on many online dating sights, but that it was more difficult on those that check backgrounds and attach one community name to their dating track record and personal information.
Again, you have to remember that anonymity is the shadow that cloaks most thieves of the heart and all sorts of disease.
By now, with the preponderance of chat rooms and other online communities, you’d think they have plenty of easier distractions and prey. But unfortunately those venues have taught many of these jerx what is the main female weakness — feigned sensitivity.
No matter what sort of dating service you use, the old rules of thumb for meeting online idiots should always apply. Meet at familiar public spaces, that means places you have been to frequently before and know people at. If you can’t do that, make sure you bring a friend along to watch you, preferably one who can watch from nearby and either has quick access to the authorities or can bench press a moose with one arm. In other words, use your head.
A dating service that require you to fill out a profile, submit to a credit and background check is certainly more likely to weed out these bozos, but nothing is guaranteed, even in regular dating.
Personally, I find it sad that the more rational ways of finding a possible companion, such as going to places you might find interesting to find possible kindred spirits, aren’t used more. But the courage of individuals to start up conversations at such venues and pour the necessary time into building even the beginnings of that easy comfort which then can lead to more, is clearly lacking in the main. So we’ve mostly, as a society, begun to move to McDating via these online methods. The best are substituting, in a sense, as a sort of impersonal matchmaking service or blind date referral, if you truly understand what family and friends were trying to do for you before. The worse are simply flipping burgers and sodas in your general direction.
Sexual addicts do know that women looking for a relationship may be primed for sex and some possibly will do almost anything to secure what seems to be a sensitive, caring profile who is otherwise a solid match. Personality profiles can be figured out, answers can be coached, and the rest may not pick up sexual predators or even less so the leave ‘em and lose ‘em crowd.
I think John Stossel of 20/20 did some reports on this a while back, you may be able to find something useful there.

This is totally untrue. There may be adult sites that have online dating for this purpose, but not in ordinary cases.
